Overall, the image has way too much of a yellow cast and lacking contrast.

In Photoshop CS2:
* Step 1: (Down & dirty) Image, Adjustments, Auto-Level.
(curves &/or levels an option with a little finer control, but chose auto for simplicity)
* Step 2: Image, Adjustments, Shadow/Highlight tool, Shadow set to 0, Highlights set to 20
* Step 3: Image, Adjustments, Hue/Saturation, Drop-down & select Yellow channel, set Hue to +10, Saturation to +10, Lightness to -35
* Step 4: Image, Mode, Labcolor, go to lightness channel in lower right corner, Toolbar, Filter, Sharpness, Unsharp Mask, set to 50, 0.3, 0 and then back to toolbar agin, Image, Mode, RGB, save for web.
More can/could be done with it, but was a quick 1 minute edit, all legal in basic editing.
