I start a new job today. :) Only very casual but it is school hours which always helps. :) It is for a lady i know who has her own photography business. It is a shop with all her images in it. She is a landscape photographer and because it is a very small business she cant afford to pay me much so she has offered for me to have a space on her wall for my stuff. :) Wooohooo. Wish me luck

thanks guys, i am actually really nervous. Isnt that silly, i have known this lady for about 6 yrs (mum at the school) and i dont know why i am so nervous. Retail is my background, i am in the industry i want to be in so really i am being very silly about it. Arrgghhh! The more i think about it the more scared i get

yep very small shop. But you know when something is new that you arent sure about. I have to keep telling myself that it is a good opportunity for me.

...and it's a good opportunity for her...
1. No one expects you to know anything on the first day.
2. Everyone expects you to know nothing on the first day.
Take your pick.
Use them alternately.
They both work.
(Even for more than one day...) |

One day down, many to go. I did ok. It is such a quiet shop that i was twiddling my thumbs for a while there. There was literally 5 people that came into the shop. I didnt sell anything, everyone was browsing. She just doesnt get the traffic there, which is a pity. Next working day is the 18th June.
