I usually don't find negative images very appealing, but I was editing this image, originally color, and thought it looked rather boring, so I was playing around, and this is what I came up with. I don't have the original color version available at the moment, though I can post it later. Comments/Suggestions...?

I'm not a big fan of negatives, but I do think that if you reshoot during a time when the tree's shadows aren't stretching across the stairs, it might be a bit better...in the negative version, the shadows look like white streaks across the stairs and that is distracting to me. Of course, this is just my opinion. I like the original version best myself. ;o)

If your good at coloring the stamp filter in photoshop is a nice tool and then you can color it after. but ofcourse that going off photography but its just an idea.

I like both the orig BW and the negative. This seems to work well inverted, possibly because of the high contrast. I have a thing for inverted images, so maybe I'm biased! Nice work.

Might work better as a threshold rendering.
