Taken last month. I have several decent "regular" type concert shots, but decided to play around with them some tonight. Comments are appreciated.

Okay, one morning bump and then if I get no remarks I will concede they are not worth comments. :) |

I think they're really interesting, especially the ones that you've colorized...nice contrast and would be what I would expect to see maybe in a CD jacket or something. Nice expressions you've captured as well.
It's early still in some parts of the world...be patient! ;o)

On the shot titled "selah8bwweb" (the duet), It could be more effective if cropped intimately. If mine, I would bring the bottom border to just include his lower hand in the frame and bring the left and right borders to where they are actually cutting into a quarter of the outside portion of the body of each singer. This moves everything upward and inward while making them appear to join as one in song instead of being two individuals on a stage singing simultaneously. Also helps keep the viewer focused between them where the song is living. |

Something like this? Hmmm, I personally like the wider version better. Thanks for the idea, though! |

I've left comments, Judy. Is this a local band, or someone bigger? You should send them some sample shots, maybe you can get them on a CD inlay or something!

Thanks for the comments. They are greatly appreciated! The concert was Michael W. Smith and the two opening acts were Watermark and Selah. They are all nationally known contemporary Christian artists, with Michael W. Smith doing some crossover to popular stuff. You can see all the concert shots and a little more about the groups here: Concert Gallery
These were all shots I thought had potential to do something a little unique with. Overall, I wasn't really thrilled with the concert photos -partially because I thought the main artist MWS, wasn't looking so great that night. (more on that in my gallery.)
Thanks again! |
