I picked up a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 yesterday afternoon. Here is a group of test shots taken late yesterday and this morning. I am having so much fun with it! I haven't had anything wider than a 50mm since getting the 10D in March. Anyway, only the first 4 pics are edited...the rest are just converted from RAW and uploaded as-is. The lens is light, compact, fast, and sharp. I highly recommend it from what I've seen so far. It's also relatively inexpensive, as far as lenses go. If you're on a budget, it's worth a look! :o)

Congrats on the new purchase! If I only had the money... !
Well, a macro would actually be first - but the 28-75 would be my next purchase! I need to get off my lazy butt and make some money. Great pictures - the sharpness, dof, and color rendition are impressive.

The photos look good. Congrats on that lens. It's arguably the best bang for the bucks walkingaround lens. I wish I had gotten that instead of the Canon 28-135 IS. I would have saved some money as well. Oh well, maybe I'll console myself with a Tamron 17-35 f2.8-4 XR Di, he he he.

I am SO glad to see more examples of what this lens can do; I have been seriously thinking about buying it in the next two weeks. Thanks so much for letting us see your shots. Congrats on the new lens, you lucky girl! |

Yar! I just got the same lens and I had a feeling a thread about "love" and "new lens" must be about this Tamron!
It's great eh? ;)

Not all of the good lenses in the world have an L in their name.

Congrats, and thanks for posting the full size samples out of the camera. Makes it easier to see the differnce the lens makes..
Some of the flower shots at F/2.8 are great, and really show up the quality of the glass.
Cheers, Me.
