Not sure about the clove oil...I think it may be in a regular grocery store in with the spices and stuff, maybe not.
I just followed Bear Musics advice and took whole cloves (like the ones you stick in a ham when you cook it) and put 2 or 3 in my mouth, chewed on them gently for a few minutes to get them kind of soft, and then just pushed them up between my cheek and gum by the bad tooth. Worked pretty well and pretty darn fast for me.

No, just plain whole cloves. They are those little brown twig looking things. A spice, used in cooking, you usually see them in a whole cooked ham. Those I know you can find in the with the spices in the grocery store, like where the garlic salt, onion powder, sage, ginger all that stuff is, usually close to the baking supplies section.

I will be taking a trip to the store tomorrow. Thank you for that!

Yep, cloves help, or the oil.
Hope the pain is gone soon, it can make one very crabby. |

Well, that's good news. Glad it worked. Personally I believe the whole cloves are a better re,edy than the clove oil, because they are less messy and "time" the release of the active ingredient better, as you chew them.

I'm the queen of horrid toothaches...I wish I would've known about the clove remedies.
I always get doozies on the weekend, usually Friday night at 6:40 pm when the dentist is closed for the entire weekend. I couldn't get in until Monday but I was in such excruciating pain that my dentist was cool enough to come in on a Saturday (I was in so much pain I was vomiting). He gave me Lortab to help...it's the ONLY thing that helped.
Of course I was non-functional on that level of drugs but at least I wasn't in pain! :-D Good luck...may it be an easy fix back to pain free living. |
