I just got these images via email from Western Australia of a storm front that went through a few weeks ago.
These are not my image (wish they were) I don't know who took them but they are awesome.
What makes these images amazing is that we traditionaly don't get twisters/tornadoes in the Southwest of West Australia where this storm hit. Thought I would share them, enjoy.

No I don't think so but I will do a bit more research, Western Australia is about 20 years behind of the rest of the country so we don't get much info on what goes on over there.

Those look like they could be sci-fi special effects, reminiscent of ID4 or Armageddon or some other end-of-the-world movie! Awesome shots; thanks for sharing!! :o)

Great job. Love teh coloring and what clarity and sharpness. The last one is my favorite.

Amazing! The photographer should get credited for photos like that.

Beautiful storms... I'd die happy if I could take photos of a storm like that.

I've been trying for the last two years to get shots like this :( You'd think in Kansas I would be able to get them, but no, even though we had several tornadoes yesterday and today.

Wonderful images!

Incredible!! Love those shots. It does look like something out of an alien/sci-fi movie.

Sorry folks but this set of images turned out to be a hoax (shot in USA not WA). Note that in one of them the trafic is observing the keep right rule, maybe 20 years behind the rest of OZ but we do drive to the left like the rest of the country.

It does look like that they are driving on the right-hand side on one image??
I have tried to get confirmation on these but no luck. Don't be offended about the 20 years behind it's just a standard joke I we have with our west aussie mates, after spending 10 years living in Perth I know what is really like.

No offence taken I'm originally from Melbourne. They are great images.

Well, that explains why there was no photog credited. Do you think they are pictures of a storm in the USA, or just total photoshop creations? My vote says they are fakes.

I grew up in tornado country (the Texas Panhandle) and even in Central Texas we get some massive storms. These look pretty authentic to me.

There is nothing to say they were created in photoshop. I've seen many images like this and even more that look unbelievable and yet are completely true. Mother nature can be an amazingly wonderful and scary thing.

I think the photos are real just where they claim to have been taken is bogus. We did have some nasty storms come through here a couple of weeks ago, thank god they were nothing like what is in those images.

that IS a touchdown because you can see the debris that is being tossed around on the horizon

Yep Don is right the photos are real but not taken in Australia they have been on quite a few storm sites, found this forum when i did a google search...

The same set of images can be seen in:-

verticalsmurf's QLD Photobucket:-
//photobucket.com/albums/v669/verticalsmurf/storm/

From Bindi7 via Kiko WA, Photobucket:-
//photobucket.com/albums/v451/Bindi7/Storm

From supposedly Romanian site, but with a .nl suffix, meaning Nederlands, ie Holland:-
//rovilla.nl/index.php?name=coppermine

From the following site, ending with .cx (don't know), apparently located in Perth, WA, but the link goes via the USA, according to my tracing. Fascinating that it is in Perth, where this purports to be from:-
//www.waawa.cx/files/storm/

From the "Rumanian" site is a big version of one of the images, and if you look in the lower right, you can see what appear to be white houses with thatched (?) roofs!!:-
//rovilla.nl/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10009/i000771_big.jpg

If that's in Bunbury, I'm a monkey's uncle. It doesn't even look like the USA.

Photoshoped or real, USA or Southwest of West Australia it doesn't matter. Theres are very good pictures. Would love to capture some clouds like that but then again would not want to be that close.
I like them all but really like #4,6,and 7...

I uploaded these images to share and done it via linking these images to my portfolio but people keep selecting them as favourites so I moved them to my workshop thinking they could be still viewed as thumbs here but not selected as fav's but that hasn't worked.

How can I or where can I move them so people will not select them as fav's but still can view them I'm begining to wish I didn't upload them and please anyone who selected them please deselect I only wanted members to share these storm shots.

Well, I've never lived in tornado country so I'll go with what the people who do live there say and accept that they are real storm shots, but not taken down under. Thatched roofs are, IMHO, practically unknown in the USA. Or am I wrong on that too?

Agreed, they are an impressive set of pictures. If I had shot them I'd want my name attached to them no matter where they came from.
