Just had to share an update with everyone. Called the hospital this morning to find out that Danny is doing well he is breathing straight oxygen on his own without any assistance from tubes, they have turned off the ultra violet light and only have the blue warming light on him.

Hi Anna, Daniel is beautiful and I'll be praying for him. My two cousins were born around the same time (twins - 6 mons)..they were smaller than beanie babies. It took 6 months in the hospital, but they are our little miracles and are gradually catching up to the other kids.
I can't imagine your torture, best of luck :-)

That is indeed wonderful news Anna. Our daughter was about the same size when she was born, and as I stated earlier she is now 19 and my pride and joy.

I have a full appreciation of what you are going through and can only tell you that things get much better as time passes. I will say a prayer for you and Danny. GOD bless both of you and keep you safe.

Both of my kids were 8 pounds plus, so like Heather, I can't identify with the preemie feelings, but know that I was thinking of you again last night. When I put my little girl to bed, I couldn't imagine some of the pain you must be going through. I wish there was more that I could do, but I can still pray, and will.

Glad there was good news today. May every day be that and more!!

Congrats on the new arrival, and I hope he does just fine! I was only 2 weeks early, but still only weighed 5 lbs, 6 oz. Then actually lost weight before I was taken home.... I was the size and weight of a bag of sugar.... all my mom's friends were afraid to hold me... now I weigh about 250 and her frriends are STILL afraid to hold me... although for different reasons I think.

Just got back from an evening visit and I know one thing my two boys are definately BROTHERS. Danny is just like his big brother now.

Today they rushed him into xray because his stomach was bulging. ROFL he was perfectly fine he just was full of poop! He filled his tiny diaper and his tummy was fine again.

He also lost his blue back light and they only thing left on him is a ambilical feeding tube and a heat probe to make sure his body temp stays above 97.

A Baby
A baby brings so much to a home.
New sights. New sounds. New smells.
How can something so small shake things up so much?
Suddenly, a new family is created.
A cry in the night.
The warmth of new skin.
To touch, to learn, to think.
It's a new life to lead, with many changes to come.
Experiences to cherish.
Many photographs to take.
A baby is to love.

Welcome to this world Danny! There is lots of love in it just for you, so you go on and build up that strength, we know how fast time will fly after you go home from the hospital with mom, dad and family.. Your mom will soon be saying "Wow what happened? Put a brick on your head and stop all that growing"....She will also probably tell you that you are
always going to be her baby and that you will!
You are a miracle! We are all waiting for mom to tell us how much you have grown.
Congrats Anna, Our prayers are there for you...Support too!

Hi Anna,
I just wanted to let you know that Danny continues to be in my prayers daily. i have looked every day for an update on his progress, but haven't found any posts. Just wanted you to know that this mother of four, and grandma of 9, is thinking about you.
May God bless your family, and especially Danny.
