Kinda a tribute to the forum thread (how English teachers die)...

Take a photo that represents a "Bad Analogy" or a "Good Analogy"

:)

"Like pissing in the wind" comes to mind as a bad analogy.

...but as I think about how low some of the other forum threads have sunk, I won't be surprised if I get a bunch of opposition on that opinion. :)

Either one of two things may result, confused photographers with 20 + threads of suggestions, and strange photographs; voting conflicts. This suggestion doesn't seem to easy to think of ideas for....

Hmmm, are you kidding?
Like a knife through butter
Like moths to the flame
Like riding a bike
Like yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater
Adding fuel to the fire

There was a challenge called "Literalisms" that was like this that seemed to go quite well.

I struggle on how this is a bad analogy, If you have tried it you will find that its something you wont want to try again.. ;-)

You bet! Let me check my notes here...
BradP, Kavey, bare bottom, pissing in wind. I hope I can remember the context of all these things when I start to write the next edition of the Enquirer. Wouldn't want to be like Newsweek. :(

What is it....16 dead? several buildings damaged or destroyed? increased tensions....followed by "uh...well...we were quoting a quote and not necessary a fact but it might have just been an expression and could have referring to a prisoner who tore up a Koran in protest...."

*sigh*

I actually was talking with a friend the other day and mentioned how the Star Enquirer should do an issue that is 100% true just the news like a retro 1920's paper. *lol*

It'd confuse the heck out of people...

That pretty much covers ALL the bases... like a 30ft pteradactyl flying over Yankee Stadium with a bladder problem.

Here's a nice literalism:

I like the seal, Shannon! Nice. ...but where's this pteradactyl flying over the stadium shot you were bragging about?

They are right here: (sans stadium)

Just gonna' have to imagine the rest, though give Ken a few minutes, and I doubt ANY of us will have to use it....
