This bites! I developed a bad crick in my neck last weekend and things have gone from bad to worse. On Tuesday night I had to go to the emerg. cuz I was having excruciating pains on the right side of my head. They had me undergo emergency cat scan since I have a family history of brain aneurysms. They said it looked fine, but noticed a deformation in my right temporal bone. He said it's probably nothing but they want to do a bone scan just to be 100% sure. That sux.
Doc said it was just really bad muscle tension. Things have been up and down all week. Some days better, other days worse, all during one of busiest weeks I've had at work for a long time. What really ticks me off is that I can't work with my K9 because the pain is so distracting. A real bummer! On top of that, I have to show up for jury seelction tomorrow morning.
I tried doing some yardwork this afternoon, but had to call it quits after a while cuz of headache. Can't even go take pics cuz the camera hurts my neck something fierce. I also noticed that one of my cervical vertebrae pops when I move my head a certain way I was planning a busy spring with lost of chores around the house and some photography, but everything is on hold for now. At least it doesn't bother me in my sleep, so I can still get some rest.
Going to see my family doctor on Tuesday morning. That's the earliest he could see me. I think he'll need to refer me to a physiotherapist to help me put back into place whatever is causing all this pain.
Anyway, I'm just venting. It's a minor incovenience when compared to some health problems that others may have, but it's still a pain in the ass.

mmmmmmmmmm you might be able to get out of the jury process if you are incapacitated.... You might want to check that out.
I would hate for some poor schmuck to end up on death row because you had a sore neck.... hehehehehe

I am sure it is a minor incovenience, but that is still some seriuos stuff in those areas.
Congrats to you getting into the Doc fast. I think I would blow off jury duty, that can wait till next time around.
Feel better soon. |

Sorry to hear this Denis, maybe a surgical collar could be of help for a short while, ask your doctor first of course.
Hope you improve quickly,
Paul. |

Hey Denis, sad to hear about the inconvenience. The best thing to do is to dedicate the time needed to take care of this problem. So, you are under a little storm and it will pass. I know, back problems, neck and spine are tricky to treat and their pain difficult to live with. I do hope that all goes well and they (the medical profession) can take good care of you. Forget about everything else until you first take care of yourself. My best wishes. |

Trust me dennis wet heat and more wet heat...when you think you have had enough...add some more wet heat.....the vertabrea popping is due to the muscle spasms....lay low and relax....all will be better soon....thinking only good thoughts for you....

This is easy. The problm is the update button is located on the left side of the screen and the functions for that are controlled by the right side of your brain thus causing a pain from over updating on challenges.

Would a chiropractor who specializes in ART be able to help? I had a pinched nerve in my neck in the C6,C7 area causing me to lose the feeling in my left arm/and persistent tingling. After seeing the Neurosurgeon I was a day away from having an operation when I decided to wait and suffer while taking narcotic medicine for relief to see if it would go away on it's own as there was a risk with the surgery. Finally after 5 months it got better. It was a worrying time for a moment. I can relate to you feeling the pain/headache and I hope you get relief SOON. (I was left handed so it was very awkward)
The chiropractor really really helped relieve some of the pain, the physiotherapists I had only gave me relief for an hour at the most. Then again, different treatment work for different people.

There is a "cranial scilara"(spelling?) method out there. I went there after having problems with my neck that involved going to chiropractors on a regular basis. The one I found was also a medical doctor as well. Since then, I go once a month as they work on other issues, but neck, back and skull(LOL, not mental ones) problems are gone. |
