I was talking to a Canadian and they say that they where shorts and a t-shirt if the temperature reaches 16C (low 60s F). For me (an Australian) 28C (about 80F) is the lowest for shorts and t-shirt.
What about you?

I'm in the love-the-cold camp. In fact, I moved here to Cape Cod so I could get more cold weather than I did in Southern California. I commonly go out shooting without a jacket when the temperatures are in the 40's. As long as it isn't windy, anyway. My trash guy wears shorts all winter long, it's hysterical to see him muscling the barrels though a snowdrif in shorts and boots...

Anything over 15.5C (60F) and I'm in shorts. May wear a sweatshirt to take the edge off, but I don't wear long pants unless decorum (or sanity) demands.

It's So Hot in Texas that....
The birds have to use pot holders to pull worms out of the ground.
Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard boiled eggs.
The cows are giving evaporated milk.
The trees are whistling for the dogs.
A sad Texan once prayed, "I wish it would rain - not so much for me, 'cuz I've seen it - but for my 7-year old." You no longer associate bridges (or rivers) with water.
You eat hot chilies to cool your mouth off.
You can make instant sun tea.
You learn that a seat belt makes a pretty good branding iron.
The temperature drops below 95, you feel a bit chilly.
You discover that in July, it takes only 2 fingers to drive your car.
You discover that you can get a sunburn through your car window.
You notice that the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
Hot water now comes out of both taps.
It's noon in July, kids are on summer vacation, and not one person is out on the streets.
You actually burn your hand opening the car door.
You break a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m. before work.
No one would dream of putting vinyl upholstery in a car.
Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and get cooked to death?"
You realize that asphalt has a liquid state. |

It has to be 80F for me to wear anything but jeans and boots. Below 60F and I have sweats on. Below 40F, I rarely leave the house. I hate the cold....

20C at least for shorts, anything over 25C when the humidity is over 60% I stay inside where there's airconditioning. (was in Ottawa for 12 yrs, hate hot and humid)
We'll see what Alberta has in store. At least it will be less humid.

| I'm a Canadian too. My two favourite seasons are spring and fall because there is no snow and no real humidity. I like it hot enough for t-shirts during the day, but cool enough at night that you need a light sweater. I also like the unpredictability of the weather in these seasons. Last week the morning was foggy, gray and wet, then it poured cats and dogs for an hour, suddenly there is hail the size of marbles, 40 minutes later the sky was a perfect blue, not a cloud in sight and there was a rainbow leading the way home. You just canĂ¢€™t beat weather like that. =) |

I actually once had that situation here in Luxembourg, when I was on a hiking trip. 5 kilometres are a long way when the street keeps sticking to your shoes...

I'm from Pa/De USA and if it's in the 60's i might wear shorts and a t-shirt, but i might take a jacket along. 65+ you can definately get away with no jacket if it's sunny and not too breezy.

I grew up in Germany where it was a bit too cold for me.
I moved to Brisbane, Australia, where I HATE the heat and humidity for at least 8 months of the year.
Currently I am a temporary resident of Seattle, Washington - I think I'm growing webbing between my toes from all the rain, but at least I'm not dying from the heat and winters are a joke (i.e. very mild and easy to take).
I wonder if there actually IS a place where the weather is perfect for me?

| I don't own even a single pair of shorts. Is this pathetic? But I can say that short sleeve shirts are not worn until the temp is at least a steady 55 or higher. Around here, in the mountains, even n the middle of summer, the temperature swings from valley to peak can be extreme. |

Shorts go on April 1 unless it's raining. I hate being cold and wet. Growing up in Colorado, 50s with sun is shorts and sandals weather. I've modified it a bit since moving to DC. The humidity makes it feel colder.
I've been known to walk around in snow with jacket, hat, shorts, fleece socks and Tevas. The Colorado College Student uniform. ;)

| Any thing lower then 82 is too cold and anything over 87 is too hot. That only leaves one place in the world where I can be comfortable most of the year, Hawaii, and it is my good fortune to live here. |
