I am already pretty happy about this. I was just looking for some ideas on how to be more proud. Comments would be really great. Also, should I take the tree out in the BG? Hope you like...
Thanks.

Another quick question. If I get rid of the tree do you think this is worth trying to sell?

You should be proud it's really nice. Very crisp.
I love the angle and of course the colors. |

yep, if you do want to sell, I'd lose the tree/s. Fantastic perspective, colours and sky ! Well done ! |

Definitely take the time to very carefully and precisely lose the trees, being sure to replace them with accurate sky pieces of the right value. It's a very nice picture, good job.

If I updated this photo so the trees aren't there will I lose the comments and the favorite?

You have every right to be proud. It's quite beautiful. And if you have the patience to get rid of the tree, by all means, do it and it will be that much more fabulous. :-)

Thanks for the compliments but what I meant by saying losing the comments and favorites was will I lose what I have gotten already?

I dont think you can "update" a photo on your portfolio. You can add the redone photograph, and keep the original though. |

well done on the photo. I love the muted, cooler, dark sky, with the endless field of tulips. The perspective is something to consider. Thanks.

Great shot, and I do think it would look better without the tree. Great colors.

Sorry,I missed that part.... I don't think you will lose comments and favorites. If you go to the picture in your portfolio there should be a space under the title that will allow you to upload a replacement image. I believe I did this once along time ago when someone gave me advice on how to improve a shot, which I did and then uploaded and if I remember correctly the comments and such remained. I'd ask someone on the site council for a definite answer though.
Also, when you upload it as a print, I believe the edited one is what will show in your Prints Portfolio even though it will be linked to this one in your challenge portfolio. Make sense?

The sky actually was more blue but I didn't like it as much so I desaturated it a bit... Thanks for the compliment though..

One more quick question. Do you like the sky more grey or blue? I myself like the grey but I was just wondering what you all thought since it was originally blue in the first place and I changed it.
Grey Version:
Blue Version:
Thanks...

I like them both, but I tend to lean towards the one with the grey sky because it's a little different. It has a different feel to it.
Although, I could see how and why someone else would prefer the blue sky shot as it is very cheery. If you're going to offer them as prints why not offer both? That way you cover both bases.

Very nice, good sharpness and lighting. I do see this shot quite a bit though... somewhere on DPC is a really stunning shot which is very similar but shows a stormy sky... anyone know the shot I mean? |

Yes, this is a great shot and was something like what I was going for but will take a long time to match that one... Too bad you only get about one week a year to try to get the photo that counts...
