How about a male nude challenge. I was looking at the past nude challenges and the majority of teh subject are female. How about thinking outside of the box and make it a gender specific and limit it to adult age (no baby shots)

Why not a male nude challenge? Because I have a body like George Costanza for one thing.

There's a very big taboo concerning male nudes.... That's too bad, isn't it?

I think the female portion of the site might have a kick to our humility. There has been quite a few self nude portrait of our female conterpart. very few of the male persona. DRJOnes had one and was shot down in the voting.

Actually, I like the idea of doing male nudes. Some parts of the male body are much more interesting to me than the female counterparts (and not, it's not that!! well, it is, but that's not what I'm talking about!).
;)
But it's something just a little different, and I don't see how the photos would be voted down for being male nudes if they're in a male nude challenge. (Yeah, I know. There's trolls out there.)

All right I did some statistics:

On the SC there is 6 women and 12 men. If it came to a vote the brotherhood will win. So much for a good out of the box idea . . .

PS I thought "moobs" (for man boobs) was a normal word, made up but known, ya know? I've used it for literally years. Is it just me then and Jacko, is it a word you picked up from me, or is it a fairly commonly used word after all? I mean, I do often make up words without realising so I'm not saying it couldn't have been me but I don't think it WAS me this time.

It's okay to photograph naked men (or women), and it's okay to photography naked babies, but at exactly what age is it, that it is no longer okay to photograph people when they are naked, and at what age will we agree it is okay to do so again. *personally* I think that it depends on a number of factors:

1. The child
2. The family atmosphere
3. The societal environment
4. The context

I believe that any age is perfectly fine for nude photography, as long as all of these factors are positive for it. If you do nude child photography in a setting or environment, (such as a nude beach, family home, et al.), that is conducive to it, and you have children that are used to it and have grown up with it, and you have a society that is a little more open to it (They exist, but they are fading), and the context is non-sexual.. then what does it matter what age they are?

Ah well, now I've hijacked the thread :) Sorry!

Male Nude challenge? Yes please.. but remember, no penises. (rolls eyes)

I am SO glad I found this thread right after going to a sumo match. Here are some good examples of the aforementioned moobs:

1. Moobs

2. Moobilicious

3. Moobiriffic

4. Mooby, Moobier, Moobiest

Note that I resisted the temptation to put all of these pictures in the Nude category. You're welcome. :-)
