I reckon the bw for the first image is quite powerful an image, what with all the verticality and "detailing" levels. The color version doesn't sit quite right for me, with perhaps a bit too much more red emphasized particularly on the fore part of the ground. If these were challenge entries, I'd do 8 or 9 on the bw and 6 or 7 for the color depending on mood and other contexts.
Same for the second, but I like the color rather than the sepia for the third.

The first one works well in both b&w and color, but with completely different moods. You have to decide on the mood you want to present and go with that one. The black and white is more stark and concentrates on the contrast whereas the color one is a little more fantasy.

I prefer the second one in color as the color bands layer the image. The layers in the black and white are very similar in tone except for the sky. The sky loses the foggy mood in the black and white.

I also prefer the third one in color. The sepia/quadtone almost makes it look 'dirty'. I like the contrasts between the colors - the light trees, blue road, and green leaves are very complimentary.

I reckon a bit of burning/dodging on the second one's bw version would yield a dramatic image. Lots of details and textures to bring out there. Nice shots overall, though.

Hope you didn't mind but did a little edit on the one you were not sure of. I like it in color and this effect. Maybe not for everyone but what do you think?

Yeah, great edit. Soft but nice contrasts, seems very natural.

all color for me

1st one b/w...the other ones color. I prefer color usually unless there is a very strong subject or pattern etc. b/w without strong subject matter usually lacks to me. The other ones are just kinda normal pleasing to look at images.

I took you colored picture and the first thing I did was go to variances and select a brownish highlight. Then I made a duplicate layer and selected the rocks surrounding the road on the left side with the magnetic tool. Then I pressed [shift] and used the magnetic tool on the right side rocks. Once I had both sets of rocks selected, I inverted making everything but the rock a mask I could work with. Then I went to gaussian blur @7.5 pixels and blended with screen @75%. Then I went back to gaussian blur @7.5 pixels and blended with multiply at 100%.
That̢۪s all I done.
