follow up on my damaged bumper story....
It pays to take photos of everything!
I took a pic of the press pass that just so happened to be in the cars window and he had NY press plates too (also took pics of his plate and how he was parked against my bumper).
It was from WPIX, a local tv station in NY.
I called them and left a detailed message.
The guy whos car it was called me within the hour.
He says he didnt do it...but is offering to pay....tell me he's not majorly guilty!
He must not be in good standing with either the police, his insurance or his job.
reminder to self...dont bring my car to Brooklyn anymore :)

It was. Digitalpins and I started to take pictures of the two Japanese kids in costume, and it didn't take long for others to notice (that's CeeDeez at bottom-right). After 15 minutes, we were completely surrounded by a crowd of white Canon lenses. |

I completely agree Terry; no more driving (or parking) in Brooklyn.
Really nice photo everyone!
It was great to meet you all (and see some of you again). Turned out to be an excellent day.
So where's the next GTG?

Well despite rain Sat and a dreary Sunday morning the weather turned out beautiful. Terry Gee, Scalvert, JPR, digitalpins, Oksamit and son Ross, Nikoli 1024 it was great to see all of you! First time I've met the illusive and artistic JPR who later went to the Tribeca film festival. Thanks to everyone who gave me sound advice on my new cam, very helpful! Its nice to GTG and discuss tips and see everyone's shooting style! And Terry Gee got a lead on a new client to boot. Sorry about the car tho Terry. We were all over the place in the beautiful gardens and then we hopped over to Prospect Park for a peek, by then we were running out of steam. Sorry for those of you who couldn't make it we'll do another one before long hopefully!
I took like 900 pics some of them in my portfolio: May 1st NYC GTG Pics

Nice shots. I like the one of me on the bridge. My camera doesn't look that ridiculously small in that one. Good thing nobody has posted any of me standing next to any of you snapping away. :)
My head looks really fuzzy. |

Looks like y'all had a blast :)
I was comatose, watching movies. All weekend. But my Spring Break rocked!
Next time, next time.

Manic! (thnx for the url fx) We really missed you! As you see I did get my D-70, he ordered the D-70s but didn't want to wait 3 weeks after my BDay to get it and its so similar I'm glad I had it for the GTG, JPR's cam would've been huge next to mine! BTW JPR you really don't need the extra size your work is amazing! I need all the help I can get. |

Coolpix 4300 point & shoot, which I'll still keep with me, its so easy to take everywhere and less likley to get stolen.. brooklyn ya know. Terry got a taste of damage on the outside of her car, I've had my radio ripped out twice, nothing like getting in your car and seeing wires hanging with no radio attached. |
