Just the other day I received a letter from my internet provider telling me to get upgraded that I needed to unplug my cable modem and wait 60 seconds before plugging it back in. They went to 6Mbps download but some equipment can't get that high. I know I can't quite get that high but anyway I tested it before I unplugged it and got right at 1mbps. Now I captured this.
I am now at 4.3mbps. I was just wondering where everyone else is and wanted to brag. In case you need a website to test here is the one I used.

You're in good shape! I'm at about 60% of that. It seems like some cable providers are in a "bandwidth war". I know folks in Chicago who have over 7 Mb/s on the downstream side. For me, cable is not a great option because of who my cable provider is, so I'm on ADSL with SBC. It's been good service so no complaints here. I sure would like more upstream speed tho.

Basic DSL here:
1240 down, 312 up - more than fast enough for anything I will ever do.

26.4 kbps ... dial-up rocks!!! (just kidding)
At least at work I have a much faster connection. I can download a 100mb file in about 10 seconds. It screams!
Too bad I can't vote on pictures while I'm at work!!!

Just under 4 Mbps, on Comcast, always surprises me it does that well.

I clicked on Roadrunner and it says I run WAY too slow, I really should change over to them.
I have Roadruuner.

I'm assuming this is fast enough. I am clueless about things like this.

LOL, Laurie, you're backwards! You've got faster upload speeds than download, and that's really unusual. In fact, I've never seen that before.

You are fast enough. 4 Mbps is a little overboard prob.
