Greetings...
I need to create a PDF print catalog that I can distribute electronically and on paper. What is the best 'tool' to use to generate thumbnail sized images on a page where I can include text information with each thumbnail? I have adobe acrobat and can use that to create the PDF once I find a program that will create my thumb/information for the catalog.

I doubt that you have Digital Image Pro lying around but if you do...from the File drop-down menu you choose Print Index sheet that allows you to select from pics on your disk to create an index sheet of thumbs with or w/o file names etc. I save it as a project and/or print it from there.

I can do that with photoshop as well, but I would like to add additional information beyond the file name. I guess I probably need to create it manually in MS Word or something...

I've just been playing with B*Gallery, John. I think it'll do what you want; it's pretty flexible, stylistically, and will certainly create the kind of layout you're after, and will include text. Evaluation version will only deal with 8 images at a time, but it's enough to see what's going on.
I could imagine that you could use it to create HTML files and then print those to .pdf
Worth a look, anyhow.
