The past few days I've taken several pics of flowers in my yard and my neighbors' yards. I just wanted to share them with you, especially those of you who have no green grass or bright flowers blooming yet!! :o)

I hate gardening and I have 10 brown thumbs (i.e. I am lousy at it).
Even giving me a bunch of flowers doesn't make me jump up and down with joy.

Yet beautiful photos of beautiful flowers - I LOVE!

Thanks for sharing, Laurie. Would you mind if I used one of them as a my desktop for a little while?

Go right ahead... and I have to admit that my fingers and thumbs are all brown as well, but I have the good fortune of two wonderful, green-thumbed neighbors AND the good luck (or divine intervention) that I haven't managed to kill all my yellow and red rose bushes yet! LOL ;o)

Opening this page was like having a vase of fresh cut flowers on my desk. Thanks.

Nice flowers, Laurie! I swear, every spring I turn into a flower macro fool. I'm going to be hitting all the botanical gardens in the area soon. :-)

I can't wait. It's finally beginning to turn green here. However, "they" are predicting cold and possibly even snow again early next week. No bright flowers for "them". Bad weatherman!!! Bad!! Bad!! (Sorry Laurie, I had to get it out of my system)

Thank you for the beautiful preview of what might be in our future - somewhere.... I KNOW it's out there....

Very brave to post some flower pictures :P Is that a green spider on the bottom of the second rose picture? Love the iris.

I would like to post some flora shots but I'm afraid of the backlash :(

Well, it's some sort of little bug...I don't think it's a spider. I didn't even see him until I edited the picture! LOL

As for being afraid to post flower pics...don't give in to the peer pressure. The flower haters are just jealous!! hehehe ;o)

These were from my neighbors yard. My daughter is sad that we don't have the talent to grow the same things....

I love these, (and yours too Laurie) but I was wondering, how did you get the background to blur so much? Was this post processing or manual settings on the camera? I have tried to get mine to blur in camera, but they don't blur this much... :)

Nice to see someone else that loves roses. I live in Florida, Have several varieties...just planted a pair of Don Juans (climbers). but ya know, Ive yet to take a picture of a flower, or one of our renowned sunsets either. Just can't bring myself to do it. Love your work...even the flowers.
