I posted some ideas in the minimalisim idea thread. I just had a bubble on some checkboard tile.

I had my kids make some homemade bubbles and I took the following pictures with them.

Just wanted to share.

Yeah it is pretty cheap to boot...after spending about $50-60 on the Jewelry Ad challenege (that I am not going to enter now). I wanted to see what I could do on the cheap side.

I'm sure that's a lot of fun. I bought all the stuff mid winter to do my own, but never got around to it. Maybe this week.

What are you using as the dipper/palette or whatever it's called. I hear you can make good ones from hangers, but I haven't done that part yet.

I just looked on line and found a home recipe.

1 Part Dawn Detergent
10 Parts water
.25 parts Karo syrup

Seems to work pretty good...the bubbles we did were small...like in the 2-3 inch diameter range. We used pipe cleaners for dippers.

The big ones they do you hangers....and if you do 4 bubbles and they are together the middle forms a cube.

You can also use glycerin which is at most pharmacies in place of karo syrup...but most people would'nt have it like that handy.
