In cs right when iam doing cloning or helaing brush or anything of the sort and i zoom in close sometimes its a cross and sometimes its a circle i find that the circle is easier to work with but it come when it wants to not when i want it to any ideas everyone ??
ps- if this is simple iam going to beat my self up!

If your caps lock key is on, the circle goes away. Unlock caps, and the circle reappears. ;)

I'm pretty sure it's a cross when the brush size you select is smaller -- to help you see where the actual center is. Then if you choose a larger brush size, for example, it will turn into the circle.

Of course working on a full-size image at 33% or whatever on screen, you could probably choose 10 pixels and it will still be a cross. But then if you zoomed all the way in to 100%, it would be a circle.

Oh man, this thread took me back to about 1996 when I first started using photoshop, and it took me forever to figure that problem out. Oh so frustrating at the time. ...long before internet or DPChallenge forums to help.
