Today I lost my little kitty. She was exactuly 10 years 6 months old.
I feel down the stairs when I was carrying her and she got hurt pretty bad and had to be put down.
I know nothing can bring her back now, but I guess I just want to post her beautiful photos here, just to honor her.
I love you so much Sleepy and will miss you so much.

Loretta ,
It's very sad to loose a friend as Sleepy , I understand the pain you're feeling now.
The only "default" cats have is their short life , I've lost Duchesse (20 years 2 months old) , Hito (4),Tanis and Aziz (about 12).
They have their place in my heart and I still feel sad when I think of them.
Thank you for sharing her beauty with us.
Take care ,
Mambe

No words can really really help. Just know others are holding you in their thoughts at this time.
You pictures are beautiful. |

Thanks guys!
Its like almost 6 am here and I just can't sleepy. I miss her so much and just want her to walk through my bedroom door, as she always does when she knows I am up.
I feel so guilty too. I just feel as though, if I hadn't picked her up and just left her there, that she would still be alive now. I just feel as though I killed someone I love.

I am sorry for your loss... Nice photos you got there to remember her.
I too lost not my cat but my dog three weeks ago.
My mother by accident ran over him with the car he lived but he got paralised on his back legs... it was so sad to see the dog like that... the only thing we could do was put him to sleep...
My mother got really down for it, she even felt guilty. But there are things in life that you cannot control and this type of situation is not controlable... it was not your fault... unfrtunalty it happened..
A big hug and don't feel guilty... just think of her in the good moments a treasure those thoughts. Hope this helps...

There's really nothing any of us can say to make it hurt less. I know this is one of my biggest fears as a cat owner. Over the years I've had some close calls.
*hug* Remember it's okay to cry, remember that she would not want you to beat yourself up over this. And if it gets too bad, please, please don't be ashamed to get some professional help because she was, "just a cat".
She loved you very much and wouldn't want you to hurt like this.
Headbutts and purrs from my gang.

Thanks peeps. It really is a horrible day for us here.
She just means the world to us and she was so young really. She was really a beautiful cat. She just had a really nice presonality that anyone would love.
She would constantly follow me around the house and as soon as I woke up, she would race in to my room to get played with. She just wanted to be loved.

Hang in there, you'll never forget her, but it will get easier. |

Don't feel guilty at all. They say your life on earth is all maped out for you when your born, so don't think of "what if's" at all.
Just remember her like these beautifull shots, it will ease the pain, and the pain will ease over time.

Not to start a rant, but I think loz knows better.
It was an accident and a tragedy - and I'm really sorry it happened for you loz...

If it should be, that I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then, you must do what must be done
For this, the last battle, can't be won.
Don't let your grief stay your hand,
For this day more than the rest,
Your love and friendship stand the test.
We've had so many years,
What is to come can hold no fear.
You'd not want me to suffer, so
When the time comes, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me to the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you'll see it is a kindness you do for me
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Don't grieve it should be you who this thing decides to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years,
Don't let your heart hold tears.
SMILE, FOR WE WALKED TOGETHER FOR AWHILE.

I'm sorry for your loss! She seems to be a sweet cat...I hope you'll meet her again someday at the rainbow bridge :)
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

This line just made me cry so much.
Sometimes I will be in my room and I will just see her little tail walk by or I will sell its reflection and know she is there.

I'm so, so sorry and understand how badly you hurt. You're making me teary eyed. We just had to put our 19 year old cat, Crackers, to sleep March 30. I still look for him when I wake up and when I come home from work.
I know time will help you heal; and I received wonderful words from the DPCers about the Rainbow Bridge. Now it's Crackers turn to greet and play with Sleepy until you can be together again ... |
