-_-_-_ If you want a ride, or would like to carpool, or need directions there, feel free to PM me. _-_-_-
(a few samples from my last visit there)
* = I say 8 AM because I think it would be nice for us to get together for breakfast before venturing into Longwood for a days adventure of Floral and Fountain shooting. We could either pack our lunches, or Longwood has a restaurant on the premisis. I believe you can even leave and come back, so there is a third option. Longwood is HUGE, and you will never cover the entire place in one day. So we could spend the first 10-15 minutes planning out places we would like to check out on the grounds, or we could split up for the morning then meet together for lunch, or whatever. It's really up to everyone who goes.

| My wife lived on Spring Garden and 22nd in Grad school, 6 or 7 years ago. I wish I was into photography then, with all the love park, rodin, rocky steps, south street, boathouse row shots available. |

Sign me up. Damn, 8:00...whew. I haven't been up that early on a Sunday in years. Count me in for the whole day, and I'll offer to carpool (as a driver) as well if needed. I live in the Northeast by Franklin Mills, so I'll be coming from that area. I'll probably invite a couple photographer friends (2 maybe 3), but they're all film, so they can't sign up on this thread.
And also to reply to blindjustice: I was just at boathouse row a week or so ago. Nothing is lit up at night anymore and the area looks like crap. Trash everywhere. Some places are being renovated, but at the time, it isn't the scenic view that it usually is. |

They turned the lights off for Winter. They should be back on shortly. I agree with the trash, I think its because of all the construction though, normally they have that place pretty tidy.

| Anyone have any idea how long it will take to get to Longwood gardens from say...center city or the northeast? I don't like to be late. I live in the Northeast section (by franklin Mills), and I'm guessing about an hour, give or take a few, to get there from my house. |
