looks like no one got the chance to shoot any Baseball photos yet Tracy. I think that photo is ok, but as far as composition, it is too cluttered and confusing |

I am going to a Braves game on May 27th. You just reminded me I can take my camera. They are playing the Phillies. If there are any Philly fans here let me know who you want a photo of. The tickets are complimentary of my job third row behind the visitor's dugout so I should be able to get real close.

Here are a few from last weekend's season opener of André's select league team, the Greenville Indians. I am sure you are all thrilled to know I will have many more to follow...but what can I say, I'm a proud mom!!!

Sky ain't hurting this at all; I'd go so far as to say it NEEDS to be blown out in this image.
Laurie, your third from the top (2 heads) is priceless. Love the setting sun in the helmet.
Robt.

A little history.....for my son and I, baseball was huge through his childhood. We started having catch and batting whiffles at the age of 2.5 and we kept at it through highschool. I coached and managed through all the years with him. We spent so many quality hours together sharing the great fun of this sport. I loved to watch him play. He was a dominating pitcher, feared throughout the leagues. Our team won the Area Little League Championships in 1997 (he was 12) and that was one of the most rewarding experiences of both our lives. Today, when he visits, we still have a catch in the yard....just like 'ol times. I love baseball and I love my son.
(footnote: Now he grabs his camera instead of a bat and puts me to shame on DPC, any guesses?)

great thread 4score. I like the different portraits through the years. So He isn't a pro? I graduated highschool and gave it up. I had talent, especially defensivly. I enjoyed the pics |

Just one from last night... I haven't gotten around to editing the rest since we didn't get home until after 10pm... but I kinda liked it even if it was at ISO 1600 and a bit noisy. ;o)

LOL no, it was from my son's game...he's 11. He plays Pony league select ball in the 11-12 year old age bracket with the Greenville Indians. That was last night, game 3 of our season (we're 3-0 already). Our guy was safe, btw. ;o)

Congrats to your son and his team Laurie. It looks like a good quality league, Nike Cleats and professional bases! |

My son pitched opening day yesterday. Here's a shot of his split fingered fast ball - he's been clocked at 65MPH. Pretty good for a 12 year old!

Nice pics everyone! 4Score, your son looks like quite a stud muffin. I hear he's smooth with the ladies too. :)
