Unfortunetly, my card got corrupted and I was only able to salvage ONE photograph out of about 100...

My free study photo was included in the ones destroyed. Has anyone else had problems with san disk like this?

It seems every other week I am getting corrupted files on my Ultra II card. I think I may need to switch Card companies...

As always, comments and constructive criticism welcomed =)

Do you reformat or erase all files? On the computer or the camera? Do you use a card reader?

I have a 1gb Sandisk SD Ultra II and you're scaring me now.

I use a card reader, and I reformat on the computer.

I have seen advice in other threads which recommends formatting the card in camera as opposed to on PC. I have always formatted in camera and have yet to have a glitch.

I lost all the pictures on a 512 mb SanDisk card about a year ago. None of the photos from a wedding I was in were recoverable (I tried everything) and I sent it back to SanDisk for a replacement. Haven't had any problems since.

Oh yes, you should always reformat your cards in the camera instead of the PC - this is likely why you are having so much trouble. The reason for this is that your camera writes information to the card in a specific way, and with a foreign formatting pattern it leads to images that aren't laid down on the card correctly.
