My camera is affectionatey known as LMC. Magnetic99 owned it before me and it arrived at the last minute before his trip to Iceland. When I purchased it from him, it arrived at the very last minutes before my trip to Idaho. So, Last Minure Cam....

Since I've decided to keep the 10D, it now goes by the name of "OMG-I-can't-believe-I-actually-have-you-in-my-hands-and-can-take-you-anywhere-with me-and-you-take-such-cool-pictures-and-OMG-you-freaking-rock!!!!" Or something similar. ;)

Hey crank2o, your profile lists the kit lens (18-55mm) as the one you own... Better get at least a 75-300mm, so that you can impress your friends even more, LOL.
Originally posted by crank2o: Some of my female friends have named my camera "girthy" because, as they like to joke, the width and length of the lens is something that I'm using as compensation for something else!
haha, nice topic question | |
lol! I have my eyes set on a Canon 70-200 f4 as my next compensatory material possession...oh, yeh, and a Porsche :-p |

I sometimes refer to my minolta z1 as the howitzer because it's so much clunkier than my minolta f300 |

Of course I have named my cameras, doesn't everybody?
I gave Fudgie, my Fujifilm Finepix 3800, to my sister.
My Canon PowerShot Pro 90 IS was called The Pro, now it has morphed into The Old Pro.
I sold Minnie, my Minolta A1.
I call my Panasonic DMC-FZ20 Floozie, think I got that here.
Haven't finalized a nick for my 20D yet although I have called it many things, probably will settle on Dusty.

"The Green One" and "The Blue One" Why? Actually, one is black and the other is black and silverish-goldish. However, My Fujifilm Finepix s5100 is kept in a green case, and my Nikon n75 is kept in a blue one. I'm the only one in my household that can tell the difference between the two, so if I were to say, "Hand me my digital," nobody would know what to do. So I say, "Hand me The Green One," and my Finepix is passed to me. I say, " Hand me The Blue One," and I get my Nikon. It stuck. It's faster than saying, "Hand me the one without the big screen on the back," which would waste time as the handee would have to dig from case to case figuring out which one doesn't have a screen. So The Blue One and The Green One they are officially dubbed.

Never dawned on me to name my cameras. My cameras are such an extention of me they need no name.
Though I used to name my plants and I have named my truck. |

And if they had names you'd only forget them anyway and end up calling them all Mindy right? And I bet you never call them the next day either?
