I'm sorry, what I read in your post was that you USED the same effect. While you used cloning to remove elements in your photo...the 'ribbon winning similar shot' used no cloning of elements, which was the reason for DQ of your photo. You really can't compare the 2 shots at all, and you definately can't say that 'he got away with it' when he didn't even DO cloning to remove elements.
Again, this doesn't reflect any decisions of the SC, just stating it for clarification. |

I give up. In my mind future discussion on reinstating this shot is moot. SC please lock this thread and point all future discussion to this thread where it is more appropriate... Before and After

are you saying that if TooCool instead of cloning simply selected the area outside the central part and adjusted levels to bleach it out completely, it would be legal? This strikes me as odd, but it is good to know for the future if this is indeed the case... |
