I think it would have been great entry if I had the time to re-do this shot, which I have not.

How do you like it ?

I think it is very good. I like the composition and the contrast. I think the background works well with the shot also. 8 or 9

I'd say probably an 8 or 9. I like the composition and toning. Oh, and I have a thing for sheep too :) (that is a sheep isn't it???)

I would have given it a high score, prob 8, but i think many people do not view goats as domesticated pets.

Pet implies that you don't eat them. Lots of mutton folks around here. Chinese restaurants too, so i gues then cats might not be pets :o

Here's an opportunity for all those "domesticated" animals to be the center of attention! So pamper your pets at the groomer... and then capture a portrait that you would be proud to keep in your wallet, ready to show whenever somebody asks to see "your kids". Have fun

like a said in anoter post some people have strange domesticated pets, While I was growing up we had a pot bellied pig that lived in our house... and they are very clean by the way and we also had two little racoons that lived inside, I had two Iguanas and we now have 3 very large hermit crabs..not the ones you see in the mall and a rabbit. I have heard of people domesticating miniture horses. OH well I'm not trying to rant.. but i hope we see more than just dogs and cats. :)

pretty funny actually..and a great shot...
..that people will argue whether or not this is a pet scares me....kind of like with the bored challenge when people had trouble with animals being bored (how can you tell..the same way as with people-they aren't engaged, looking interested, smeling something, their tail isn't up, think of it as an idea an image, a metaphor, use your imagination..sorry this was a bit of a rant...back to this thread)
..I don't get why some people only look for other photographers to see things their way..
I wish you had saved this shot for the challenge, I would love to know how it would have done with that title-a 10 from me!

I like your guy a lot - mine is not nearly as good but I was pretty proud of him way back...

I must admit - I did not see the title (sorry). Could not figure out that it was intended as a joke based on your post.

I would score an interesting picture of a goat or a sheep high, and a dull picture of a dog or cat low.

I feel a goat is a good pet for some and of course a sheep would be considered better for others. By the way who determines what a person can have as a pet? Are snakes and such pets? Some people call their spouse Pet. Oh so many ways to look at it.

I determined a while back that "It ain't a pet unless it comes when it is called"!

Then my cat is definitely not a pet. Only comes when he feels like it.
