What about a slide? That image does NOT need post processing...


Slides get post processed automatically. That's why people like slide film.


I think that is called processing not post processing. The image is exposed and developed. To get a print from a slide is another story entirely.

Not what I meant... slide film emulsions are designed to boost saturation and contrast. So it just happens automatically when you expose/process the film. Slides are designed to be a 'finished product'. Most negatives (and digital captures) are not.
