From the March 19 Toronto GTG ,It was a lot fun I hope we can all get together again.

Great shot! What is he chewing on? It looks like a mitt or a glove. Where is the rest of the owner?

I think some people may be GTG this Saturday east of Toronto.

As Randy already knows, this is my favorite shot of his or a tiger ever. How can you not love this image?

Left a comment, the only thing that bothers me a bit with the pic is the background, the tigers fur just doesn't look right where it meets the bg. Mind you if it were my image I'd be jumping up and down with glee!!

How funny - I love the look of the fur. I think it is one of those personal tastes and no right or wrong. It is beautiful, isn't it?

Yes, the fur is wonderful and the detail/sharpness is spot on, I was referring to the ear and top of the head, it just looks to me as if a touch is missing, almost as if he had a slight trim ;) I'd like to see the orig with the background.

When ever you wanna plan for another trip let me know.

Here is the the shot right out of the camera .
The only things I did to the image in the first post was crop adjusted brightness and contrast just a bit and resized and USM .
I did take the shot throught the wire cage the tiger was in ( the blur to the right is part of the cage ) and the white background is the snow. During the winter this year I was playing with the fastest shutter speeds that I could get with the snow as background .I did come up with some rather interesting shots ,but I also ended up with a lot of junk shots as well ,but all in all it was a lot fun to just to play and see what I could do with the 20D.
And yes it is a mitten the tiger is chewing on but I am not sure what happen the owner of the mitten ,I think maybe his parents had some thing to say to him about it ! LOL

Randy, you did good work with the crop but still feel the white background is a little distracting. Though in hind sight maybe the original would have been more distracting?

Hey Randy...great shot and congrats on your Stock 4th place finish. The zoo was great and here is one of my shots of the same tiger. Still learning the ropes when it comes to PSP8...may be overdone...

I have a few tiger pics from a DPC outing last month... they certainly are gorgeous animals and it really amazes me how much like house cats they really are! :o)
