Actually, as much as I like these, I suspect they wouldn't have the appeal to
that many as they are a bit abstract, but still love the way they came out:

They are neat shots, both of them worthy of a wall hanging. Very clean and interesting. You are right though, about not submitting it for the free study. You know every half decent photographer on this site is going to submit really good shots. Then all the good photographers are going to blow everyone's mind.......again. |

These are gorgeous, Brad! The rich colours are amazing. I have to agree, though, that they probably would not have had very broad of appeal... a lot of the more abstract photos don't do so well here. Lovely job, though. I like the second one a little better, but they're both awesome. |

Interesting, I think the second shot would have done very well in the challenge and it makes my current 'best of' look dowdy, I'm looking forward to seeing a better shot from you Brad

I don't know, Brad - those are some pretty amazing photos. I probably would have given that first shot a 9 or 10. It's hard sometimes to tell how a shot would do in the voting, but based on the feedback of others in this thread, you probably made the right choice.

Very nice shots Brad, nice color and contrast. I just wonder since these are so nice and you didn't submit either, what else you got up your sleave for the Free Study? Free study seems to be one of your specialties. |

Thanks for all the kind words and kinda' mirroring my thoughts on using these or not.
Oh and what's up my sleeve?
I live in So CA and wear short sleeves, so it can't be too much!

Ok, I wasn't going back that far, I didn't dare bring that one up. ;-) I was referring to Aloft and Daybreak. |
