I wanted to know if this would have done good in the challenge?
It said that you should tread the challenge topic lightly and this is maby to heavy for the voters?
What do you think?
Please submit your outtake here if you have any.

Not realy an outtake, but funny (in my eyes)
Birds of Paradise.
I guess even if this is just a snapshot that it would score better then the one I have submitted now.

quick edited versions of the ones i didn't sent
the good thing: i had a lovely couple of hours on this real old cemetery and im quit happy with the shot i sent
the bad thing: the 35 voters intill now have a completely different opinion on this (duh) |

the zoom in and twist effect works very well even a bit hallucinating
but the second i prefer for its peaceful and sacral mood..well done

Thought it'd be a bit too "samey" as a lot of others so submitted something completely different

I almost went with this one. I enjoyed the broken up "respect able merchant" bit.

I've uploaded my outtakes, and given my actual entry's current score, I'm kinda regretting not having entered one of the alternates. Ah well, can't win them all :o)

Cemetery outtakes here by the dozen... I couldn't decide, and it's pretty obvious I made the wrong decision in the end anyway. There are about 3 other outtakes I can't post that look too much like my entry as well. I had so much fun taking the pictures though. What beautiful and peaceful places, and so much history in the stones. Wow. I had a great time, even if my score is a suck! ;o)

I hear you on that one. I though the grainy look of stone would make my picture better, turns out people don't like that. wonder why? what do you guys think makes a good cemetery photo? |

Seems like a lot of people had trouble deciding on which picture to submit to this challenge. And like most others, I think I may have submitted the wrong one (according to my score). any here that you think would have done really well?
i loved these, but they bordered on legal editing and i didn't want to take a chance at getting dq'ed
both loved by me, but not sure how they would compare
not sure if this one came across as cemetery
probably my favorite because of all the meaning behind it, but i was scared that people would be sick of looking at gravestones
and as you can see, things aren't going my way

Someone should have taken this photo. If it's real that is.

I just finished voting! I'm very impressed, I must say. I'll probably have to go thru a second time to tweak my nines and tens... tough choices! Jeez!
Here are the two I passed over for this challenge. I have a buttload of others from my trip to Greenwood Cemetery, but I haven't even begun to process those...oy.

I was very tempted to retake a similar entry to my 'Breaking New Ground' photo, but decided to try something new. Any thoughts as to how this would have done in the Cemetery challenge?

I can't post any of mine as I only took a couple shots of the same thing. We were on vacation in NYC so I wasn't able to spend as much time as I would've liked wandering around cemetaries. Wasn't my husband's idea of a great vacation "To-Do". But I must say that I saw some HUGE cemetaries as we were flying in and driving into the city from the airport. I don't think I've ever seen anything that big and that old. And some of the cathedrals in the city are amazing as well.
There are some really great outtakes here and alot of wonderful entries. I'm really enjoying voting on this challenge. Is that wierd? :-)

The one I submitted looked nothing like these. So far I'm scoring the best ever since joining. Competition is really fierce too. Many good pics
Comments welcome
Sorry for taking up so much room - still learning how to post multiple thumbnails
