I am thinking about getting some attachments for my Camera but I'm not sure what the best investment would be. There are different filters that I saw on eBay, macro lenses, a "fish eye" lens... Which would be of most value to improving my pics? I'm not even sure about the fish eye thing... it seems to give a rounded image...

Feedback welcome! :)

I am not familiar with your camera, but it seems like a similar selection I have with my Kodak. I think the one add-on I have gotten the most out of is my wide-angle attachment so far. Is that an option foryou and good for the types of shots you like to take?

A photographer has always been the most advantageous thing that one could attach to a camera in my estimation.

Easy for you to say, Mr Fancy Cam! LOL

looking at your portfolio, it seems you lean towards scapes. a polarized filter helps cut down on glare and reflextion, while deepening the blue sky and just basically giving richer colors.

Me, I am looking to add a auxillary flash as my next investment.

I would agree. I see from looking at you Bridges II entry that you already have wide-angle capabilities, so the next most valueble thing you could get to help with landscapes would most definatly be a polarizer.

A tripod, if you don't have one.

Yes a tripod is definitely on my wishlist. :) Thanks for the reminder.

I just delivered some soap to a local b&b tonight so I earmarked some of it for myself, er rather my camera. heehee

Thanks for the feedback. Off to shop on ebay.

although I'm still very much learning, for instance, today, I was traveling around with my Canon A40 and a Woca (glass lens Holga) today while waiting on my upgrade to a 20d to arrive in the mail; working with what I had. Anyway, you might consider as stated before a tripod, even a mini-one is great (was at least for my A40) but other than than I'd say books...either buy em or "lease" them for free at your local library. And of course, watch this site.

If you don't have a steady tripod I would say forget about filters and add on lenses until you get one. You may want to look at this thread before spending any money though.

Just remember, you get what you pay for.

If you don't know much about tripods, I'd recommend you buy your first tripod in a store, where you can examine and handle it. I'd avoid eBay, for this reason.

Great tips! Thanks for the link to the tripod thread. I've already ordered my filters and hope to get them in time for what I have planned for lines. Next stop, a tripod! :)
