Digital Journalist, March edition

The conversation with David Leeson and accompanying photographs are well worth a look. Some quite disturbing images though, if you need a warning.

I love the dichotomy between these two images...

First
Second

What must have happened in the time between them.....

Edit: And this one.... wow.

Great link, G. Pretty powerful images. Can't get the video to downlaod too fast. Maybe I'll wait a little bit until the traffic slows down.

Are any of you on the aphotoaday list? I highly recommend it if you are heading in the documentary photography/photojournalism direction. Leeson is an active member of the list and it's great getting feedback from him directly and interacting with the group.

Also, he mentioned that he would be speaking at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California Berkeley on April 19th with Don McCullin, Catherine Leroy and Ken Light.

One last thing...if this floats your boat, and you're anywhere near the east coast of North America...why haven't you signed up for the VII Seminar yet?

$25 to hear Nachtwey and friends for a couple of days...

If you want any info on any of the above let me know...

Edit: VII Seminar link

Thanks for this link. I am not good at (nor do I like doing) studio stuff. Candid, however, is tres groovy by me. This definitely fits my bill!

Thanks again!
