A candid shot which I feel turned out to be a great portrait. Of course, that is in my humble opinion! Would like some comments though both on the photo and printing tips. I would like to print this as a 13 x 19 print for a gift. [Using a Epson 1270.] I have been told that a rule of thumb is to use matte paper for portraits. Not sure this shot fits the standard portraiture though. |

A lovely family pic - ideal pressie. From a purist point of view, the cloth held by the child and the contrast background both detract from the image. Maybe just a touch more colour in the child's face would help.
For printing, invest in some small paper to try matt v gloss.

I was bored and thought I would fiddle with this image a bit. I love the baby's expression and your shot is so clear and bright! I just wanted to see what I could come up with as far as a "portrait" is concerned. Just some ideas. I'll remove them in a bit. :o)
