You're showing a remarkable sense of composition and color for sure. The
"ship in the night" image is a little murky for my tastes, but that's a personal thing. Others may love it. The rest of them, an enthusiastic thumbs-up... I particularly like the dancers, what a sweet capture. The sense of "growth" that comes from the blur in the grasses is palpable.

Good job!

Robt.

Thanks for the comments. I am really interested if everyone thinks this one is to dark and has muddy colours.

The colours in this photo really look good on my monitor but I have not had good results on low key photographs.

No, not dark and muddy for me, absolute excellence. What lense did you use for these stunning pics... The sharpness, detail, colours... fabulous!

Wow! Excellent job on each photo. I will come back to comment on each one a little later. Great variety of types of shots as well.

Thank you very much PJ

Number 1,4,5 a 75-300 canon lens.
Number 2, 3 a 18-55 kit lens.

Thanks for the lens info... another generalised 'prejudice' ie 'not good' kit lense and 'poor' 75-300 lense get kicked in the butt.

Yip, it's not the camera but the person behind it... but if the person behind it can do it then the lense at least must be good enough to give the result.

I'm the one that made the "muddy" comment. It's a subjective judgment. It's got clear separation of tones and I'm sure what I'm seeing is what you intended; I just don't like it as much as the others.

Robt.

actually, I said "murky", which is a little different...

I agree, gear is highly overrated.
