Hey all,
A bit nervous about asking, but can i get some comments on my photographs? The Faces & Expressions album is my latest, the others are slightly older.

I really like the angle of Happiness as well as the focus ... it's a wonderful shot... and from that same album Wisdom is also very well done. I like those two most out of what you have posted. Really nice...
You shouldn't feel nervous at all! We don't bite... (well most of us at least) ;)... nah we're a great community here...
So may I be one of the first to welcome you to DPC --- ew're looking forward to see what you will bring in the future!

| I think you definitely have a good eye for capturing conveyed emotion. That is the hard part. A few of the shots have a bit too shallow DOF in my opinion. I think portraits loose something if both eyes are not in good crisp focus. The softening of the rest of the face can work very well, but if the eyes are open, they both need to be equally sharp. |

Thank you all for the very kind comments and the useful hints. I agree about the shallow dof on some of the shots, in fact most of those were taken at very wide apertures. I look forward to posting some more of my photographs as i take them and to hearing all your comments and suggestions.

You have a good eye for capturing expression and emotion. I love the faces collection, and also particularly like Choo-Choo in your industrial collection. Well done! :o)
