Canon just released another Rebel SLR. At $999 with a lens, the Rebel XT comes with a low price. It̢۪s lighter, smaller, and faster than the original Rebel. Capable of 3 frames per second for 14 frames and a startup time of a mere 0.2 seconds, the Rebel XT makes considerable improvements over the original Rebel. It comes with the 8.0 megapixels with Digic II image processing. The original Rebel now drops to just $799 with a lens, making it the most affordable digital SLR currently available.
Concord 5042 5.0 MP (NEW)
Price: $99
Available: Spring 2005
The new Concord comes with 5 megapixels for $99. There are limitations like no optical zoom and it runs off AAA batteries. Wait until spring to pick one up.

There are several other threads about the new Rebel XT... just do a forum search and you'll see them. ;o)
Dunno about the Concord... I figure you get what you pay for in that case.
