Eh... don't beat yourself up. All of us have gone through, or will go through something like this. It's a part of the "DPC experince", LOL. Hang in there, keep working at improving your skills, and most importantly have fun.

Not to worry. Even the most level headed become lost seeking a non existent justification. I am guilty of that. lol

You have a wonderful opportunity to expand your skills and make your ideas felt here at DPC. Like Kirbic said: Enjoy!

Like they are saying - it really is common on DPC and totally human. It's a PROBLEM when you keep doing it over and over! I am sure everyone can understand, and I certainly hope great things for you and all your future challenges!

Brando, no worries. People are fickle........see now I've lost my train of thought. What were we talking about??

Brando,
Glad to see you're back on track. Takes a big person to step up and say "sorry". We all get hot-headed sometimes, I know I do! Especially when provoked (or perceived to be provoked, lol)!

Keep up the good work!

It's about time you apologized you big baby! :)

Don't worry about it we all get worked up once in a while.

heh...don't worry...we as photographers (or artists some might say) are usually more 'into' what we believe...therefore, I think we come off very thickheaded sometimes (not that you did in this case, but just saying).

Nice to see you stand up and take responsibility. You can only grow from experiences like this. Good Luck :)

You have to admit, it really added that little bit of extra "pop" to the image, didn't it?

GeneralE would have to re-post it to his portfolio; it's in the "DQ files." He essentially got DQ'd for having a VERY thin dark bar across only the top of the photo... the rules on borders were very restrictive then.

I'll have to see if I can find the original to re-post. It wasn't even a border -- when I cropped the image I accidentally dragged the crop marquee outside the image area and added one or two pixels of the background canvas on one side.

At that time, no borders or "padding" of any kind were allowed, and the images had to fit one of two specified ratios: either 640x480 (4:3) or 640x427 (3:2).

Here ya go ... I downloaded it from the site and re-uploaded it, so I can't swear it's "identical" to the original ...

This was for the Games Challenge -- I had about five seconds to compose this (this is a moderate crop) as a group of us were being escorted across the field at PacBell Park.
