Found out last week that I have just won a 'shallow depth of field' competition for Practical Photography magazine in the UK. How shocked am I!
A year ago I would never have imagined that I could gain a ribbon let alone win a photo competition. I have always wondered who actually wins these competitions anyway, not knowing if they are spoof or not. Can't wait for the magazine to be published next month, that will be some kind of buzz!!!
Just shows how much are art is down to luck (in my case anyway). If the child minder had not cancelled at the last minute, I would never have had that day off work. Probably never noticed the web in the back garden either. I am just so chuffed!!!!!!
Thanks to everyone on in this community for all the inspiration and help.

I remember voting on your image in BO2004 and thought it was beautiful then too!
