ok...so about 3 times a day now for the past month, I've been getting emails directing me to the site fightrxbillz.com where apparently they sell viagra, among other drugs.

Each time, it's from a different email address like (joe@japan.com) or (markw@something.net)...I forwarded the email like 50 times to comcast spam, but doesn't seem anything is being done.

Anyone else been getting the emails from them? I realize spam is an every day thing, but I'm very careful where I put my comcast email address -- I've had it for close to 3 years now and, amazingly, that is the only piece I receive regurlarly.

So if anyone here knows how to dig up some information like a webmaster or something, let me know because I'd like to give them a nice, friendly phone call. I tried the domain lookup, but apparently the guy's name is bogus as is his listed phone number.

I'm guessing you tried this address/phone number from their contact form:

35 Them. Dervis Str.
Margarita House
1st Floor, Suite 445
Nicosia
Cyprus

PH: USA 206-338-5771

I hate spam like that... I haven't gotten any from this particular site, but I get those "increase the size of your member" ones all the time. Drives me up the freakin' wall! :o)

Yeah I've tried that and reverse lookup, but apparently it doesn't work in cyprus.

realrxnow.com is also his domain with the same goofy contact information and humpy@humpy.com as his email lol (don't go to humpy.com by the way, it will try to set your homepage and all kinds of stuff).

If I'm ever in Nicosia, Cyprus (the capital by the way), I'm stopping in at 35 Them. Dervis str and breaking someone's face, I know that.

I've been inundated with the Nigeria scam (and variations of it) for the past month. In Canada there's an email address to report this scam: wafl@phonebusters.com I really don't know if it's making a difference. Here's the website also: //www.rcmp.ca/scams/west_african_e.htm

Anything you try along those names is going to be a dead end. The guy is probably in a thinly-regulated foreign country anyway.

ICANN or IANA (I forget which) requires that all domain registrants keep a current and valid contact name and phone number on file with their registrar at all times. It might be worthwhile to send a complaint to the registrar about both the the lack of valid contact information in the Whois record. Their ToS agreement does provide for deletion of domains if the registrant provides inaccurate or unreliable information.

Most likely, the person's face you will be breaking will be an innocent third party. That address is probably bogus, too.

The server responding to the WHOIS request is whois.yesnic.com.

I got one a week or so ago perporting to sell popular but expensive software at drastically reduced prices. For example:

Microsoft Office professional edition:
Retail Price $899.00
Our Price $89.00
You save 90%

They also offered Windows XP, Visual Studio Net, Photoshop, etc. all with alleged discounts of 80% or more. The whole thing was put together really slick and on the surface looked like a legitimate e-mail ad from a place like Amazon or Micro Center. Juno is really good at keeping repeats of this garbage from reaching my inbox after I report it as 'junk' and add it to my block list.

What is a real shame is that some naive people are going to be taken in by this bait and who knows what will happen to them.

Seriously though, you have to be pretty stupid to think you're going to get $900 worth of software for $90 (legally).
