Well, here goes another round. We shot these from 8:30 until 12:30 last night. It's been a hectic week but this was the last one for a few days.

As before these are test shots that the subject will deliver to their company's home office to be evaluated to see if she's a fit for their calendar.

Thanks for comments.

Kev

great pictures! I'm no studio lighting guru, but it looks just dandy to me. Attractive woman attractively portrayed- hard to beat.

I like the ones with the white back ground, Kev. Looks like you are really getting the lighting thing down.

This one though

Her mid-section seems to have disappeared. I'm also not sure about the orange lighting...it just seems out of place to me.

Otherwise good work.

What a terrible job you have Kevin! Its always a joy to look at your work. #4 is the best of a great bunch imho it has that je ne sea qua (sp) #2 is fantastic also, dare I say the white is not white enough in #1 & #2 but who am I to critique such good work.

Why aren't you Ecce Signum???

Yeah, I'm really wanting to add a few more lights but after seeing what I "invested" in my hobby last year I don't know how much the family's gonna go for it.

I think a 2nd light on the background would make a noticeable difference in the grayish tones on those shots.

Thanks for the comments,

Kev

With eyes like that you need to do more close ups

je ne sais quoi? lol

kev- i like your pictures...but i always thought that when you pose a model you're never supposed to have their hands be fists. just my 2 cents.

I have no problems with the pictures on any level, but the model just doesn't seem to be having any kind of fun what-so-ever (except for the last one). I don't mean she should be jumping up and down with joy, but she seems a little devoid of emotion.

I think you will get a little more feedback on these if you will do these swimsuit shots without the swimsuits. I for one would devote much more time to your threads.

Great work as always Kevin :)

I like the last one in the original post in this thread the best.

The white background works really well, and I think I prefer this set to the other set you just posted (which I only just found).

Absolutely stunning model you have there by the way.

Great stuff :)

Excellent lighting!

Could you give us a rundown of your setup (sorry if you've already done this). I'm making a wishlist for a studio and really like to know what people who's pictures I like use. Lights/Backdrop/distances etc.

Thanks from a noob

I actually like the first photo best, the lighting is very good, and the pose is relaxed and natural. The last photo seems a bit unnatural to me, mostly because it probably was shot with a relatively short-focus lens pretty close to the model, so her head looks disproportionally large compared to the body. JMO.

Nice shots - the black bacground one - I don't like the orange on her nose/face and breasts. Not too noticeable (as in bad looking) on her legs, a bit much on her hair but the face bit just draws my eye something fierce.

Hey Kev,

I'm curious about your set... what kind of floor and background do you use? Its reflecting... I'd be rather interested in knowing since i'm looking at building a little photo studio set myself.

Thanks

I was curious about the same thing...what is on the floor to make the reflections?

I like the first one, and the added close-up shot the best. I don't care for the poses in the other ones. Still way better than I could do! I'll bet she's happy with them.

I like this series so much more then the earlier one.
In those photos the model looks like she's having fun.
No funny lens effects, the white background IMO is better...
Those are great shots!
