Will prob spend most time in Lakes District as I hear it is beautiful. Will be a few days in Manchester visiting relatives.

As by Aussie standards it is such a small area to cover, would be glad to meet some DPCers if there are any GTGs planned or someone just wants a pint as we travel thru - just PM me if interested.

I'm up for a meet if you're passing through London anytime...

We're relocating from California to the east coast this summer - North Carolina probably. I'm hoping to spend a couple of weeks driving cross country and seeing some sites - with a new Digital Rebel 350XT. :) Unfortunatley, if we went all the places I've come up with so far that I'd like to stop, plus all those I'm sure to think of in the next couple of months, we'd have to spend a year on the road. But the focus will probably be more the southern route - Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, ...?

kiwinick send me a ticket and I would walk right out of work and forget to pay the landlord. I have always wanted to go to N.Z. I am an ex-surfer I have heard the beaches there are great. and from what iv'e seen in pictures and movies. You have miles of beautifull and unpoluted country to explore.. yup i'd probably be in such a hurry to catch the plane I'd almost forget the camera..almost..

Where in NC are you moving? I just moved to Raleigh! Driving across country should be a fun adventure.

Nah - I never did! We went there Just after Xmas a couple of years ago and whilst we had a good time we found it a bit to commercialsed for our liking, you know - Planet Holywood and Pizza Hut - blah!
Anyway I love to snorkel but scuba is something I have not tried and I really dont think I am fit enough to start now!

Going with hubby to St. John US Virgin Islands in April. It's a week long vacation with my cousin's sunset beach wedding in the middle.

Any DPC'rs on St. John or St. Thomas?

I'll go to a tittie bar or summin. Won't be too mobile this Summer since we'll have 2 babies to take care. We'll probably get my parent's cottage at the beach for a week or two.

Chile and Easter Island next winter (their summer.) WooHoo!

BTW - for all who are taking long flights, may I recommend an essential little product called No Jet Lag. They're little pills (homeopathic) that taste like vanilla and keep you from having jet lag...SERIOUSLY! You can get them at some travel stores or by going to www.nojetlag.com and looking up local retailers. I don't travel without them.

Have a safe journey!

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures from so many interesting places.

In May I'm going to Costa Rica for a yoga retreat. There should be plenty of time for taking pictures. My passport just came in the mail. I'm so excited -- I've never gone anywhere requiring a passport before.

I've got the travel bug this year, first I'm going to Paris in April, then a summer holiday somewhere in the sun, (recommendations?), then in September I'm going to Prague, THEN in October I'm going to visit Honk Kong!

Can't wait.....
