I can't stop jumping with happiness! I've just got my D70 yesterday!!!!
And I'm astowned. It's great. Such a lovely piece of machinery. I think I'm in love with it. (my wife is a bit jeoless - I don't know if this is well written).
I bought it with the 18-70DX lens.
I'm also piking up today the 70-300 ED and the 50mm f1.8.
Any thoughts about this lenses?
I'mmm sssooooo hhhaaaappppyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

Good solid beginning lenses. You have the same lenses I do. My only complaint is that the 70-300 ED is slow. But it worked great for me for about 5 years. It's only the last 6 months that it's been an issue. The 50mm is basically glued to the front of my camera.
Have fun with it!

I would say if you read the reviews the ED 70-300 lens is basically the same as the 70-300G lens. I have the G lens and I am happy with it. It gives as clear pictures as the 18-70. I also have the 50mm 1.4, that is an excellent lens, Its extremely sharp. |

As soon as my bonus hits the bank in about a week I'll be joining the D70 club. I can't wait. I'm driving my wife crazy talking about cameras. |

I bought mine just over a month ago with the exact sames lenses that you have and haven't stoped thinking about shots and composition, ever since...even in my sleep. It's true!
I love the camera, and I'm sure you will too.
Welcome to the club.
PS They are rare but pick up a remote whenever you get a chance. I'm picking one up that's on hold today. |

congrats!
Got my D70 in January and got almost the same lens.
The 28-80 f3.3-5.6 was with the D70 Kit and I got the sigma 70-300/f4.0-5.6 APO Macro Super II and just purchased the Nikon 50mm f1.8.
I'm very happy with the camera and lenses. :)
Looking forward to see some shots with ribbons from you. |

Yes you will LOVE the D70. I have the same lenses as you although my 70-300 is the Sigma DL macro which I don't find anywhere near as sharp as the other two. If I ever get rich I'd love to get the 70-200 2.8 VR but it costs more than the camera!! The 50mm 1.8 is my latest acquisition and is a real bargain. Such a fast and sharp lens. Welcome to the club :) |

I used to switch back and forth between my 50mm 1.8 and 28mm 2.8, but after getting the Tamron 28-75 2.8 I don't ever take it off the camera unless I need a longer zoom. a good place to read a lot of nikon equipment is www.bythom.com
Welcome to the club! I love my camera.

Congrats Nuno! I still have that happy feeling and I got mine in December. I'm lucky enough to be out almost every day taking pictures. Got into a large flock of Snow Geese yesterday and took over 200! Now you will have to face the "problem" of having all those photos to go through!
Enjoy!
