Sorry for begging so many cc lately. I'm just really insecure and want some comments. This is the first time I've taken shots that are "pretty woman" oriented and I don't know what to think. Anyway. What do you think? Is the lighting ok? Is the picture to soft, I forgot to do any usm? The pose all wrong? Colors off? Looking for honest opinions. Thanks. The reason it has so many views is I posted it in the lighting forum on dpreview but I only got one comment so I think something is terribly wrong.

I'd say the lighting is great... no shadows everything well lit...
The look in her face is nice to, but not to sure about the frog in her hand... it seems like you are goign for something for real and the frog just takes it out...
The clothes are nice, i guess you have a pretty good photo here...
OOOPppsss now i read the title... hehe now i understand why the frog's there but still i guess without it wouldn't hurt. :)

First I should say that I am not a real good judge of this kind of photo, but since no one else is stepping up to comment I will do my best. I think it might work better if she were looking at the frog, it seems that there should be a connection between the two. It would be good to see some more direct reaction from her to the frog.
Take what I say with a gain of salt because as I said this is not an area that I have any real skill at.
As far as the quality of the photo, I think the lighting is fine, the focus seems soft to me but I know a lot of people like that effect. |
