These are three abstacts that I've done in different fashions, and I'd love comments. The first is a camera motion blur with a lot of detail intact for a sort of watercolour feel to it. The second is a sort of bad photography that I find visually appealing.. high contrast, completely out of focus, with a camera angle that doesn't make sense - details/setting is still visible, but not in focus (Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow had a toned down but similar version of this with its slightly blurry/haloed, high contrast look). And the last is just a simple camera shake motion blur with pleasing colours.

These all differ a bit from my previously posted abstract..

... which is just a simple, easy to look at motion blur.

I'm no expert in art, and even photography. But if you can create something very unique and original with a camera then it's definitely not bad photography. I find your images pleasing to the eye.

I heard a saying once..

Take one out of focus shot it's a mistake
Take five and it's an experiment

Take a hundred, it's a style

For what that's worth.

Just keep at it, and try not to let the vultures in these posts get to you. :) They can be harsh.

I don't like the first two because they don't suggest me anything while not being vague enough.
I wouldn't try to figure out what they are about. Those 2 have not crossed that line where curiousity kicks in. I sort of know what they could have been (although I have no idea what they are) and they don't interest me like the other two.
For the last two, I would look and tilt my head and wonder what it's about and try to connect with them and make sense.

I like abstract images to give me a sense of something. To me abstract is about suggesting a thing, a place or an idea without doing so literally. Perhaps it might give the sense of a place or how it feels to be there. In that vein I prefer your shots where I get a sense of something from them. The shaken flowers are definite winners for me. The third of the top three is also evocative of something but Im not sure of what. The middle one doesn't do much for me.

Just out of interest here's one of my own abstracts - though not quite the same style as your own.

Leaf

And another that is sort of abstract.

Ooh nice!

Edit: Image seems to be appearing and disappearing. I don't think Pbase like serving images to other sites.
