OK, I'm gonna go out on a limb here. Not that I don't find that particular part of a man's anatomy intriguing and exciting, but I think that the difference in my mind between art and porn is subtlety. Subtle, suggestive lighting, angles, and tones that leave something to the imagination are more what I would consider art, and an in-your-face presentation of an erection is not what I would consider subtle. Then again, I'm just a hick from Texas and don't know much about anything. ;o)

I don't know, Nicola, do you think it is art? I mean the guy is not exactly Johnny Holmes, it isn't being inserted into anything, it isn't being fondled and nothing is squirting out of it. I think asking if it is porn or art is open to interpretation. Some people see a 5 year old girl without a shirt on and call it child pornography. I̢۪m not sure this is a true litmus test but when you look at these images do you feel intellectually stimulated or sexually stimulated?

I personally think that this guy isn't huge, no, but he definitely isn't small either!! I think that it's definitely portrayed as an art form but that's just my opinion I guess.

while i don't think the photos are pornographic, they ARE straightforward (so to speak) nude photos and not what i would normally think of as an "artistic" nude.

It is also true that guys can get an erection while bouncing around in a small boat on choppy water. Sometimes it can`t be helped and certainly not sexual. To tie this in with photography ... never go anywhere without your camera. :)

I personally don't see what you are doing as pornography, but to tell you the truth I can't say I would want any of the work you displayed today hanging over my breakfast table and not because of the subject matter. I think the way it is presented may be for your taste artistic, but there is also no doubt that the penis is the pure focus of these images.
This
portrait of the artist Nall hangs in one of my studio rooms. I have yet to have anyone question it's merits as a work of art and I live in the heart of the bible belt. IMO it has to do with context.

Here are the two most "risque" I've dug up from the nude gallerie. Wich one do you find most artsy? Wich one do you find most pornographic?

I consider #2 the most artistic of the two. I don`t consider #1 pornographic.
