I'm looking for opinions on this scanner.

I need to scan 3 x 4" electron miscoscope negatives with very fine detail. Lots of them. So: will it give me enough detail? How long does t take to scan each negative? ANything else?

I own the 8000. A 6x7 mage gives me a 16 bit 550mb file, but it takes like 3 hours at the highest setting. I here the 9000 is faster and scans at a true 16bit.

Never mind. On closer inspection it won't even take my negatives - largest size is 6 x 9 cm and mine ate 8 x 10 cm. oh well. ( yes, speed has improved from 3 and a half hours per scan to 4 min.
