He's right. But the clouds look OK -- I've seen that effect before.

Oh absolutely! As soon as he said it I could see what he meant... thanks for the cloud links - I'm too tired now but I might play next time I get a day off and feel like a Photoshop fiddle!

I do this instinctively. Here is a face turned into cement texture. I would have to retrace my steps. But I am trying to forget all this crap.lol

The initial step is to photograph your own concrete and use this as a layer to be applied in the desired area. depending on the texture you will experiment with blending modes and then flatten the entire thing and employ some discreet cloning from the textured layer and go about until you are satisfied.

I have a CD full of shots of marble, bricks, etc. which my brother took for me -- I'll be happy to email you one for 20 cents : )
