So this was going to be my first member submission. Slight computer problems prevented me from entering it so I figured I would post it and see if I could get some pointers.

It's a bit on the small side but I have been having problems get right at 150k. I'm using Nikon Picture Project to edit for now so nothing fancy has been done. I have a decent understanding of the basics but any comments on compositions, technique and editing would be great.

Thanks

First impressions: slightly on the dark side in the foreground, water a bit too light, has some blown out places, so might needs levels adjustments. Focus is on the can, that might be the 'focal point' of the image. but my eyes are drawn to the man who makes up a large portioin of the foreground but is blurry and in a way 'distracting' because of his out-of-focus-ness. This part of the image doesnt work for me. Composition wise I would have moved the frame over to the left a bit, but not exactly sure.

I think overall it would end up with a score of mid 4s to low 5s if submitted for a challenge. I would have given it a 5.

Yeah gotta agree with the above comments. Also the image does not use all the allowable size here is the Link to resize tutorial.

Hope this helps.
