Joel Meyerowitz is in town today to give a lecture and open his exhibit called After September 11: Images from Ground Zero at our local art museum. I was fortunate enough to get a very brief one-on-one photo session with him this afternoon, so I had him pose in front of a 48x60 print of one of his exhibit pieces in the gallery. Unfortunately, the available light in the museum is not great for photography and no flashes were allowed, so I had to make do...
I will be attending the lecture this evening and I hope to shoot some more images...

This print was one of the exhibit pieces. I thought it was one of the most poignant of the entire collection. The image depicts a scene from the trade center plaza day care center...

i like your portrait, as well as the picture you posted second. but i didn't find that one amongst the exhibit on his website 'After September 11...'. The favorite out of which that I saw was the Welder Wounded by Exploded Bullets.
hope you enjoy the lecture later - sounds like it would be very interesting to you indeed
